Passenger list for Jöns and Lars Mårtensson
I came across a nice surprise this evening – a passenger list for the arrival of the S.S. European at the port of Quebec on May 23, 1869. Included on the list is my great-great-grandfather, Jöns Mårtensson along with his brother Lars.

I’m attending an all-day Swedish genealogy conference today at the Denver Public Library. During lunch break, I went upstairs to see Great-Grandpa Hanson!
Fraser Update
I got the “Forgotten Hero” book in the mail earlier this week, and I’ve dug into the family history of the DNA match who shares a common ancestor with us. Nothing definitive yet, but perhaps some progress!
